Long term disability is an income replacement program. Individual benefits are determined by a percentage of gross weekly earnings (i.e. 50%, 60%, 66 2/3 % or 70%), age, gender, industry type, waiting periods, job title and the maximum monthly individual benefit (i.e. $1,000 , $2,000, $3,000)
